Celebrating Cinco de Mayo in style, Deborah Jett, Kate Nguyen, and Jennifer Werner, members of aXseum’s Business Management Team at the Navy Warfare Development Command (NWDC) in Norfolk, VA, raced to the finish line at J & A Racing’s inaugural Corporate 5K at Harbor Park on Thursday, May 5^, 2016. Proudly representing aXseum, and undeterred by the rain and unusually cold weather, Jett, Nguyen, and Werner crossed the finish line and celebrated by donning sombreros and maracas at the team photo booth.

The Corporate 5K brought together personnel from local businesses across the Hampton Roads area to support healthy lifestyles while promoting their company. Starting at 6:30 PM, the race wound through Harbor Park and Waterside providing a scenic view for race participants. Medals and snacks were passed out as participants crossed the finish line. Food and drinks were definitely not in short supply; a variety of food trucks graced the premises offering everything from pizza to Korean tacos.

Looking forward to their next team adventure, Jett, Nguyen, and Werner hope to bring together more aXseum personnel for the next race and maybe even have a contractors versus government team.
