To continue our efforts in giving back to Veterans whenever possible we partnered with SemperK9, a non-profit committed to providing Service Dogs to Veterans, in mid-April for the B2G Expo at the Hampton Roads Convention Center. Due to the great turnout at the expo we were able to donate enough money to cover the adoption fee and initial care package for a future service dog. aXseum then invited SemperK9 to our offices to educate our staff about the vital job Service Dogs provide for our Veterans earlier this month. Christopher Baity, co-founder of SemperK9, came to our HQ in Alexandria, along with dog-in-training Rona, and explained to us how service dogs can absolutely make a difference in the life of a Veteran. We were extremely humbled and in awe of all the things Man’s Best Friend can do for our country’s Veterans.
According to the Veterans Administration, 834,463 veterans from OIF/OEF suffer from combat-related PTSD. Overall there are 10.6 million veterans living with combat-related PTSD.
